Lense Error Restart Camera Canon Sd600
The lens was normally retracted and didn't even seem to try to come out. any other suggestions or steps in what to do when i open it up? I have many Canon's, and NEVER use a case for this very reason. In some cases, the lens might extend or retract to a certain amount, but not fully. HOWEVER, there is also some obvious potential for damaging or dislodging internal components with this method, such as unseating ribbon cables, or cracking LCD screens. Don't give it so much force as to break the casing. it turns on at picture model with the logo and then died.
Luckily I haven't experienced this problem with my A610 and I just bought an SD1100IS for my dad. I could hear the gear didn't go very smooth, little "ticks" could be heard. thanks again!! In such cases, the lens barrel guide pins have become unseated from their guide slots (see the below illustration).

I tried gently pushing the lens back in to no avail.
I found your website and removing the batteries and memory card worked for me. i had tried sticking the cord in to charge it and i tried hitting it and what not haha, but yeahh! Then the camera was stolen out of my luggage coming home from Ecuador, so that was the end of that. I was getting ready to send it off since it is still under warranty but after the research online it sounds like I might have better luck buying something else or quit hitting yourself quit hitting yourself quit hitting yourself, why are you still hitting yourself?
