Lens Error Restart Camera Canon Sd750


We knew that there wasn't much we could do to hurt the camera, since if our attempts failed, the camera was toast anyway. Not very often, it started showing up some months ago in my Canon PowerShot S30. Turn the camera off. It was a camera about to go in the bin and is now resurected. I then powered on the Camera and while holding the Function/OK key and the Shutter Button, I gave the extended lens barrel a couple of face-down light taps directly on a it worked. The bottom part of it doesn't go all the way down when I turn the camera on, which I'm guessing is the problem, but I don't know how to fix it.

They only seem to work for about 50% of lens errors, but they're worth a try. the motor is loud though, i then polished and oiled the zoom lens cases. The one that seems to work is forcing the lens until it clicks. I forced the lens in, and now when I turn the camera on it makes a buzzing and clickin sound, and what i see through the camera is very blurry. Also probably the percentage of cases is high enough that it would cost them a lot of money to send out a free camera for all the e18 errors. i think that i will have to open it up. Yeah! I was truly ecstatic to hear the lens motor whirl and to see the lens barrel retract.
