Simply - VERY GENTLY - press down the lens on the side where the gap is the biggest. I figured I would post my experience in hopes of helping out the cause. Removing it carefully as I had to use a flat screwdriver taking care of the ribbon cable. Before removing the cover, I had to pry the trigger to remove it. My camera have no serial number as it was erased because the use (Kodak, next time, engrave serial numbers), so I was not able to determine if it still under warranty. In desperation, I gently twisted the smaller lens barrel clockwise (looking at the lens front on) just after switching on the camera and hey presto, the lens motor whirred into life!I With Samsung's release of the Galaxy S4 Zoom, I'm really curious to see if this will also be a issue/problem with this camera phone (and other phones with optical zoom).
