While testing the macro i accidentally stepped on uneven ground and hit the lens towards the wall. After a bit of research I decide to strip the entire camera down and clean everything. Thanks for the information. One grain of sand is enough to break the camera. weblink
Everything now in synch. Then turning the camera on. This action appears to have put the gearing in the correct location to properly extend/retract.Thanks for posting! Thanks for the info. It was working fine without indicating any problem... I dropped my camera today in Nantes and of crouse the lens has a dent in it and it wouldn't retract.
I purchased this camera at a garage sale for five dollars. I tried fix #1 and #2 but no luck. You especially might consider this if the lens barrel appears obviously damaged, bent, or crooked such as from a fall. What do i do? We believe our four year old may have dropped the camera but we're not even sure. I just got both the a6300 and the 16mm f/2.8 lens today from KEH, so they are used. check over here Your experience may help others.
this is the second time this has happened, and I used your techniques to fix it.
