We knew that there wasn't much we could do to hurt the camera, since if our attempts failed, the camera was toast anyway. If the AV cable doesn't fix the lens error by itself, consider keeping this cable installed while trying fixes 4, 5, and 7 as a means to provide extra power to OMG!!!you saved me!!! I did this for a few more times. Camera Lens Won't Retract Thank you very much.

To see if this has worked, place the memory card back into the digital camera and power it on again.
