I blew in fan and it works again. Is this a problem with nyciticom fans , is there a possibility to use a T400 fan in a T61 ?

So you don't think the fan error (intermittant) and the freezing (intermittant and can create by pressing fan) is caused by the fan assembly?

I ended up permanently attaching the fan using velcro and the machine works like a charm. All personal data is stored on the hard drive no on the fan. Maybe you can find help in there. When I reassembled I started to get “fan error”.
